The History of SFSR
|
San Francisco Samoyed Rescue
is a non-profit corporation founded to render help to needy or displaced Samoyed dogs. The object of this organization is to rescue Samoyeds in shelters or lost in the streets, relocate Samoyeds that an owner is no longer able to care for, assist in securing veterinary attention for an injured or sick Samoyed, and educate owners and prospective adopters about the Samoyed breed and its care and training requirements. The corporation was founded in 1974. 2012 will mark our 38th year serving the samoyed dog. To the left is Keno, 2001 SFSR rescue Sammie male; adopted by Greg and Barbara of Cambria, CA; unwilling to gamble with our integrity; and keeping an eye on our objectives....

The Geographic Area We Serve
|
Limited resources constrain San Francisco Samoyed Rescue's endeavors. Our geographic area is Northern California from Monterey County north and east to the Nevada border. We make occasional exceptions for rescues and placements in the Reno/Carson City, Nevada area; southern Oregon; central and southern California; and, in very rare cases, elsewhere in the U.S.
