More About SFSR
SFSR primarily serves as a referral and placement service. When we receive a Samoyed needing placement, we do our best to match the dog with an appropriate home. We base this decision on a number of factors. When evaluating a dog we consider temperament, sociability, and personality of the dog, among other things. We also look at the home environment of the prospective adoptive family,
including such things as whether there are children or other dogs in the household, if there's a yard, the time commitment family members can make to the dog, etc.
If you are interested in adopting or fostering a dog, you can contact our Rescue Coordinator, Paul Gamlin. You can print the necessary forms and mail them in, or you can fill them out and submit them online. A donation is requested when a dog is adopted. This donation helps cover the costs of vet bills, food, and other expenses incurred by SFSR before a dog is adopted.
