Please Read:

Owning a dog requires a commitment of both money and time. On average, expenses for a healthy Samoyed run upward of $600 per year. You’ll need to cover food, vaccinations, heartworm preventative, flea treatments, and yearly vet visits. Trips to the groomer can cost $40-60 or more. Training classes, a pet sitter or kennel while you’re on vacation, a medical issue, even if it’s minor, can drive your costs up even more. You must also consider the requirements on your time. Dogs need to be exercised and played with, trained, cleaned up after, and fed. A bored or lonely Samoyed will frequently bark, dig or chew. They want to be with you when you’re at home, and travel with you when you’re away. They live 12-14 years on average, and can live to be as old as 18. Make sure you take into account any future plans, such as having children or moving, that could impact your commitment to spend the time and money necessary to give a dog a home for the rest of its life.
