In Memory of Belamy

Belamy came to SFSR in the Fall of 2007. During a routine vet appointment, it was discovered that this sweet girl already had advanced cancer. Two of our wonderful volunteers and foster families agreed to keep Belamy and and love her inside and out for as long as she was able to stay with us.

It is with great sadness that we report that Belamy had to be put down.  She was on vacation with her family when she started convulsing. She was rushed to the emergency hospital, but it was time to say good by.  Belamy was deeply loved and spoiled these past few months she has been in foster care with SFSR. 

"Please extend my personal condolences to Pamela and to you as well Kimala. I remember taking Belamy to that park in Tracy last year so you could foster her and the look she gave me as I walked away. I knew she was a special dog and that the person/people who were lucky enough to have her around for that short period of time were going to be fortunate.

Thank Pamela for all of us at SFSR for making that very difficult decision. Belamy is up there with the countless other sammys we've saved and have had the opportunity to live a longer and loving life because of people like you and Pamela."
